Prior to connecting your Lacerte instance to Juno you'll need to complete your free trial period. Once your trial ends, a member of our team will:
Share the integration app download link with you
Guide you step-by-step through connecting your tax software live during your onboarding call (we highly recommend downloading the app in advance, but waiting for your onboarding call to set up the integration)
Ensure you’re fully set up and ready to start using Juno

Important Notes for Lacerte Users Before You Start
If Lacerte is installed in a hosted desktop - If your Lacerte instance is hosted for example via Rightworks you will need to contact the Rightworks team and ask them to install the Juno Integration App in your Rightworks instance before you proceed with the following steps. Please let us know via [email protected] so we can provide you extra time on your trial period.
If you are using Lacerte and have not downloaded the Lacerte SDK you will need to do so via the below button. Please select the 64bit version. If you are unsure if you have installed the Lacerte SDK please click the following button on your keyboard: windows+s. Then type in "ODBC Data Sources 64bit." If it does not display you need to download the 64bit driver to allow Juno to connect to your Lacerte Instance. VERY IMPORTANT: Upon installing the ODBC Data Sources 64bit you will need to restart your computer. Upon restarting your computer you can proceed with the below steps.

Open the Juno Desktop App and Sign In
After your download is complete open the Juno app and begin installation. Installing the app does take a few minutes to complete. We recommend dragging this to your desktop for easy access.
After opening the app you’ll be prompted to sign in using the same credentials you use for your Juno account.
Select Lacerte from the list of Tax Softwares
To connect your Lacerte instance to Juno select the tax software from the list of options.
Please make sure you have Lacerte open and the location of your client folder in Lacerte is selected before syncing your clients. The typical path for this is C:\Lacerte\24tax\idata
You must grant Juno access and Sign into Lacerte
The last step! To authorize the integration please click "Grant" once you see this popup. Pay attention to the toolbar at the bottom of your screen as this often displays in the background.
It may take a few seconds but you will then be asked to sign into Lacerte.
Upon signing in the integration will begin. During the integration, your client base will be populated within Juno making it easy for you to instantly start tax prep.
Once your integration is complete your desktop app screen will look like this:
You can now return to your browser to start a tax preparation.
Start a Tax Preparation
Now that Juno and your Lacerte instance are integrated the Preparer screen will update to look like this:
Click “Start Tax Preparation” and select a client to begin your first preparation.
